Pat Romohr
Patricia Romohr founded her own home craft business fifteen
years ago--Romohr Designs. She created hand-made clothing
and jewelry for children and adults. She marketed and sold
these products and designs at Texas boutiques, at craft
shows, and by national mail order publications.
Originally self taught, Patricia has knitted and crocheted
for over thirty-five years. More recently, she has received
extensive training in the needle-arts and now teaches
professionally for the Bernina Sewing Center, where she is
affectionately known as "The Bag Lady" for her class on
making crazy quilted purses. Patricia is an active member of
the Knitting Guild of America and the Crochet Guild of
America. Pat believes strongly in
the importance of the community. She
has done extensive volunteer work
for the school (PTA) and church. She
has served on the Board of the
Student Family Services (provides
counseling for low income families.
She has often been in charge of the
publicity for school functions and
for craft shows. She has chaired and
co-chaired several school fund
raisers.
Of course Pat believes strongly
in the importance of the family. During all this activity,
she, along with her husband, has raised two fine daughters,
one graduated from Baylor and the other is at TCU. Pat and
her daughters were members of the Irish Dance Company. They
competed around the United States and performed in shows in
